For the second consecutive year, IK Systems, a security integrator based in Victor, N.Y., has earned the Great Place to Work certification.
The award is based entirely on what current employees say about their experience working at IK Systems. This year, 94 percent of employees said it’s a great place to work — 37 points higher than the average U.S. company, according to an announcement.
Great Place to Work is billed as global authority on workplace culture, employee experience, and the leadership behaviors proven to deliver market-leading revenue, employee retention and increased innovation.
"Great Place To Work Certification is a highly coveted achievement that requires consistent and intentional dedication to the overall employee experience," stated Sarah Lewis-Kulin, vice president of global recognition at Great Place To Work.
Lewis-Kulin emphasizes that certification is the sole official recognition earned by the real-time feedback of employees regarding their company culture. “By successfully earning this recognition, it is evident that IK Systems stands out as one of the top companies to work for, providing a great workplace environment for its employees," she added.
Founded in 1986, IK Systems is a full-service, low-voltage systems integrator of video surveillance, access control intrusion, fire, audio/mass notification systems, facial recognition, WAN/LAN/Mesh solutions, network security, communications and cloud services.
“We are incredibly grateful and proud to once again be certified as a Great Place To Work,” said COO Melissa Marcella. “Our team is the driving force behind our success, and we extend our heartfelt appreciation for their commitment to making IK Systems a truly exceptional workplace.”
“The feedback that we received through the certification process last year was incredibly helpful in understanding our opportunities to improve,” said Director of Engagement Jarrod Turner. “We’re very proud that we’ve earned this recognition again, while also increasing our scores from last year.”
According to Great Place to Work research, job seekers are 4.5 times more likely to find a great boss at a Certified great workplace.
