The Illinois Electronic Security Association (IESA) wants security industry professionals to be aware that the Illinois alarm industry is facing its most significant threat ever — even more so than in 2011 — because Senate Bill 1495 has advanced to the Local Government Committee in the Illinois Senate, chaired by the bill’s sponsor, Thomas Cullerton, who is a cousin of Senate President John Cullerton.
Product manufacturers and service providers who sell to the alarm industry may sign up for the 3rd annual Illinois Electronic Security Association’s IESA Vendor Showcase that will take place on Friday, November 14 at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare, Chicago.

The Illinois Electronic Security Association (IESA) is scheduled to be featured on WGN TV’s mid-day newscast this Friday, May 9, “to discuss home security and to let viewers know that ours is a licensed industry,” said IESA Executive Director, Kevin Lehan.
The day will start with IESA attorney Edward Williams' updated âPERC Nuts & Boltsâ seminar that runs from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. A social hour begins at 5:00 p.m. followed by a dinner meeting during which the IESA will hold elections for its Executive Board positions and Glen Mowrey, a Security Industry Alarm Coalition (SIAC) Law Enforcement Liaison, will give the keynote speech.
