The award will be presented at the SIAC awards presentation and reception on June 6, 2023, at the Electronic Security EXPO in Louisville, Ky.

On March 5, an appeal was filed on behalf of the Georgia Electronic Life Safety & System Association (GELSSA) in response to a District Court decision to not hear the case filed by ESA members in Georgia over an ordinance that fines alarm companies for allegedly false dispatches. 

More than a decade ago the industry formed the Security Industry Alarm Coalition, better known as SIAC.

The National Sheriffs’ Association (NSA) has named Stan Martin, executive director of the Security Industry Alarm Coalition, for membership in its outreach committee.

The Security Industry Alarm Coalition (SIAC), Frisco, Texas, announced that it will be working with Stateside Associates, Arlington, Va., on a program that will monitor local governments nationwide for ordinances or policy discussions that could impact the electronic security industry. SIAC Director Ron Walters will work with Stateside Associates to report potential issues to ESA State Chapters for items of interest identified in their respective states.
